No i'm not a "pr0" from fastservers first of all, i've never been in the hosting business. I sold SEO packages for a friend for almost a month, thats about as much experience as i have.

Now as far as the companies offering $100 on sending a dedicated customer, if you ask me thats cheap as fuck. I've been offered 60-80% of the initial sale, plus 10% recurring for life from several hosting companies (prominent ones). So if you are looking for me to sell some servers for you, i suggest you raise the bottom line above subsistance level for living in government funded housing.

No shit....no one likes going into specifics around here. The closest one was oc3networks & i bought a server for some friends today from them.

Someone got a decent sales team to make a pitch, or are you "too cool" to sell your hosting packages online.

Sparks 06-21-2005 11:51 AM

One thing unique about us is that I speak with a majority of our customers on a regular personal basis.

I talk to Mouse, Cum Sensei, St Ides, Nofx, and others on almost a daily basis. Maybe being personal with your host isn't a big deal, but to me personalization is VERY important in todays business world, especially on the internet. Building a personal relationship makes things much more stable, and let's face it; the internet allows people to be as un-personal as they want to be.

With Hostive you can call me on my cell at 2am if you want, or talk to me on ICQ all day long. Communication is key and we don't just have to talk about hosting :)

When you say "No one has our peering", are you including yourself in this?
Or ... perhaps, since all of these companies do peer with UUnet, are you a wholly owned subsidiary of UUnet?
