Best way to make wmv/mpeg files of DV-tapes
What is the way you do it? And what hardware do you use? Any extra card?
I used to simply connect thecamera to my firewire card. But what if you only have DV tapes. What hardware/software combination do you prefer? Andre |
DV file on DVD, get the mpeg2 codec, premiere and make a nice AVI, thats how I do it.

Hardware I do all my work from Mini DV And let me tell you this thing is awesome Couple it up with ProCoder 2 and you?ll have all your capture, editing encoding needs covered. It?s like injecting steroids into premiere pro |
I capture video from DV using my firewire port of an Audigy audio card :)
and then i use sony vegas & dvd architect to edit my recording and convert in to avi/mpg |
Well all these tools are great. However, what I need todo is very limited.
This is what it should do. From DV tape to WMV in different formats. To mpegs in different formats I should be able to add my domainname on the video. And I should be able to remove some stuff. This is all. I have the feeling premiere is GREAT. But that I will only use 2% of the capabilities of this software.. |
