RealPlayer, what it takes to cancel the monthly service
 

So a few months ago I joined this service from real that allows you to watch clips from CNN etc. well I only used it once so I decided let me go online and just cancel it.

Well I login to my account select cancel and they tell me to cancel I need to call an 800 number (imagine if adult would force people to do this the FTC would be fuckin us up big time, because they would say we make it hard to cancel)

So I call and wow I got 15 upsells and offers before they could confirm my membership was cancelled.

AOL does the same bullshit.

AOL tries to upsell and cross sell on a tech support call. they are nuts.

damn that sucks. I had to call and cancel my MLB Radio deal after getting it over my directv. Was easy to do, and they didn't try to offer me a discounted service or any other services.

It's not porn, so it's okay to fuck around their customers like that..
