What's there to do in Miami, FL?

Me and the wife are going to Miami, FL for a quick weekend getaway.

We are staying at the Mandarin Oriental.

We are not huge partiers and do not plan on being out until 4 AM.

Any good shows or 'Must See' areas of Miami during the day and night?

Any advice?

Thanks!

Lincoln Road is a good spot to check out on South Beach. Its very active during the early evening hours and is not the place to be at 4am.

Shopping at Sawgrass Mills Outlet Malls (bring comfortable shoes as the place is huge)

Coconut Grove is another place to go that is active at night but is not the hub of late late night action.

Beaches of course. South Beach if you want to see the freaks. Key Biscayne if you are looking for more of a laid back atmosphere.

You might be able to find someone to teach you Spanish.

Got to agree with you on those scoreman. One of the nice beaches is Haulover It is a nudist becah, and you dont have some many people being assholes. Hit Lincoln road, and also ocean drive. Take a stop the Versace mansion.

Now, what if we get a little crazy (or drunk) and decide to experience the real Miami nightlife? Where do we go? :)

hang out at South Beach then eat at China Grill. Go to the Venetian pool then check out the Biltmore Hotel.

I'm a married man with two small kids. I havent been out past 2am unless I'm in a pool room trying to take down the money. Would you like the run down of the best pool rooms to go to at 2am? I probably know the answer to that question better than anyone on this board but if your asking which club to hit at 3am Pipecrew is the man to ask about this imo.

When are you coming? If you give me a call before Friday of the weekend that you will be here I will be glad to put you on the lists of some of the more upscale/sophisticated clubs. I don't like the super crazy, early 20s places... I prefer the older (aldeit more expensive) places that have less drugs and stupidity and more atmospere and great drinks and food.

For dinner you may want to check out Ago at The Shore Club Hotel in south beach, and have drinks afterwards at Sky bar....or the Delano has a cool resturant called the Blue Door with a nice scene out back, there is also a place called Casa Tua on 17th street in South Beach. etc, etc....

And there is also a good place for dinner that becomes a lounge afterwards called Grass, it's in the Design district just north of where you will be staying.

Give me a call
