USC 2257 Announcement from Platinum Bucks
Platinum Bucks continues to flourish, and maintain a professional stance in the industry. We pride ourselves on having earned webmasters trust since 1999, and with the recent 2257 regulations have formulated changes to comply. After several discussions with our lawyers, the Free Speech Coalition and other industry leaders, we will work to be fully compliant by June 23rd with the regulations; as a result this will have minimal impact on our affiliates.
Below is a breakdown of the 2257 information necessary to meet with these regulations, these will also be reflected in our Platinum Bucks Terms and Conditions before June 23rd, 2005:
Hosted Galleries ?
All of our static and hosted galleries and daily rotating pictures all reside on our own servers and domain which are in full compliance to the 2257 regulations. For our affiliates no change is needed in this area. Additional free hosted galleries are being created everyday all of which are 2257 compliant for our webmasters.
Free Content ?
1. PB exclusive free content will continue to be available, currently we have all our exclusive content online, which is 2257 compliant, and by the deadline will have sexually explicit and softcore content all 2257 compliant, available in the Free Content Area. We are currently uploading new free content as we speak to add to the exclusive PB free content available to webmasters. Once again, all PB free content will be 100% 2257 compliant by June 23rd 2005.
a. Affiliates who use our NON exclusive older PB content will have to remove all the content in order to comply with 2257 regulations. Affiliates will be able replace it with the newly provided content inside PB which is currently being uploaded. This new NON exclusive Free content will contain Sexually Explicit and Softcore images/videos.
b. Banner Content that is not 2257 compliant will be removed from Platinum Bucks prior to June 23rd, currently we are creating new banner materials which are 2257 compliant, and have been addressing those affiliates who have requested 2257 compliant banners on a case by case basis until all the compliant banners are online, inside the Platinum Bucks tools area.
If you need specific 2257 compliant promotional material we have a new designer exclusive to creating this material for our webmasters. Please email your account manager assigned to your account to request your specific material. An exclusive account manager has been assigned to every webmaster inside the PB webmaster stats area.
2257 Database model IDs -
For all Platinum Bucks sexually explicit videos and images, including and not limited to banners, and free content, we want our webmasters to have 100% confidence in Platinum Bucks, therefore we will give access to 2257 documents in the following manner.
Platinum Bucks will provide these records in encrypted file format, which will be available for download inside PB webmaster tools. This file will be continuously updated as we add new promotional material and free content. We will provide a phone number so that in the event of a lawful 2257 investigation after June 23rd webmasters who have downloaded our 2257 encrypted document file to their hard drive will be able to gain access.
Platinum Bucks will require the following information:
i. Platinum Bucks ID and Password
ii. Verification of Account Details
iii. Full Name and accreditations of the Lawful 2257 Investigator
We feel these terms create a harmony with the goal to minimize affiliate impact and comply in accordance to the USC 2257, and protect the privacy of all our models. We further appreciate the support of our affiliates, and will continue to offer additional solutions for USC 2257, as they become available.
