Ethical Question: "Cyber Squatting" ...
 

Let's say, hypothetically, that you registered some typo domains of established (mainstream) websites.

Let's say that those domains together bring in about 2-4k uniques per month.

Let's say that you have felt bad about it all along, and therefore never capitolized off of the traffic in anyway, shape, or form (say you just have them going to a blank page in order to gather stats)... and you'd really just like to get rid of them at this point.

Would you contact the owners of the established sites and give 'em to them ... or try to sell them since you are already a bastard for reg'n them in the first place?

Or just let them expire and forget about it?

Again this is ALL HYPOTHETICAL.

Depends on how bad you feel. If you feel REALLY bad, give them away. If you feel a little bad, let it expire. If you don't truly feel bad, offer to sell them to the established sites.

Why would I offer them money?

Selling it to the owners of the real site isn't really any more ethical than putting ppc links on it...

So either put ppc links on it, sell it to the highest bidder OR transfer the ownership to the owner of the real site for free or minimal fee...

take from you = you get NOTHING + a nice lawsuit if the domain fucked with their business.

If they dont have a trademark on the name fuck them, name your price
