Perhaps an End to Search Engine Placement Shenanigans

Great fucking news! Burn it down!!! :thumbsup

The article is wrong. Trademark protection has been applied to stuff like meta tags for a while.
Notice all these engines are ppc. All they are being sued for is supplying top listings to those that do not own the copyright. It would be like me trying to get the top listing for playboy, and sending people to TopBucks. It is and should be considered infringement. It will have 0 effect on "legitimate" SEO. As long as the page I put up is about teen sex, hardcore sex, lesbian sex - I can try whatever legal means I want to achieve that listing under "teen sex", "lesbian sex", "hardcore sex". I croos the line if I use another persons trademark without their approval. |
If you want proof money talks to search engines, duplicate what I did a while ago. A model I know casually mentioned she wanted to get a boob job. I wondered if she understood the downside, so I went to Google and put in keywords like "breast augmentation" + "risks" and came up with a bunch of promos from plastic surgery businesses. There is actually more information on Google regarding "sex with squirrels" than there is real information (at the high end of the listings) about the real risks of breast augmentation.

tell me more about the squirrel sex.... :eek7

... I heared he is also fighting TV/radio and banner ads ... the sky is falling !!!
