Shave your head and get it over with. You'll end up getting more ass than a toilet seat.

The part that scares me is in the commercial when it says "women who are pregnant or who are thinking of getting pregnant should not handle the pill".

wtf is in it that is that toxic??

it works,no side effects, try it but get gneric, its called proscar, ask yr doc about it...trust me

HarrytheNazi 08-10-2005 11:51 AM

98% of men taking Propecia had no side effects. Clinical tests show PROPECIA is very well tolerated. A small number of men (1.8%) experience some sexual side effects. 1.3% reported erectile dysfunction.

Caution: May cause birth defects in male baby's sex organs if taken ot touched by women.

Proscar is a much cheaper alternative, except you will need to cut the pills yourself. Any handeling of Proscar, exp broken, IS VERY DANGEROUS.

Sure it works, but your penis won't. It's a double edged sword. You can take it, re-grow your hair but you have a hard time getting an erection. You can choose to be bald and have full use of your penis.

Typical idiots in this thread talking about something they have no experience with.

I've been taking it for five years now. I started as a preventative step as I saw my Father start to lose his hair at around my age, figured why not. One of the beneficial side-effects of Finesteride (Propecia is the brand name, not the actual name) is a reduction in prostate-related issues in men above the age of 40, including enlargement, so that's nearly reason enough.

For me it's impossible to tell any difference as I had a full head of hair when I started, only very light receding, and I still have the same overall density now (I'm 34). I'll keep taking it, no reason not to, and no, your libido isn't affected, that's a very rare side effect.

Moral of the story to GFY yappers who like the sound of their own voice: STFU unless you have first hand experience with the thread posted. Oh and get a job. :)

If that post was made towards me I can tell you I've been taking this stuff for a couple of years and expierience every single side effect and then some that aren't even mentioned. I have a few friends that were taking it and they had impotentcy problems and stopped taking it. I think there side effect percentage is a little flawed.

KCat 08-10-2005 01:35 PM

Friends of mine that have taken it had no problems with side effects & said it definitely worked, stopping hair loss. But it is kind of pricey & you need to keep taking it. Once you stop, you will start losing your hair again. But if you look at how much women spend every month on things like manicures, lotions, vitamins...not so bad to keep your hair. :)
