Meat and Fruit Diet Your Opinions

I have a couple of friends who have decided to go on a meat and fruit only diet, is this good or a bad thing?
Thier reasoning for this is that vegatables, bread and cereals etc rot in your stomach...
Are they talking bull or what?

The best diet is the caveman diet. It if wasnt available a few million years ago, dont eat it.

veggies, breads, and cereals are perfectly fine for you and only "rot" as much as any food you consume.
Besides providing you with many nutrients that you really need, they also contain a good deal of fiber.

Though I would steer clear of the pre-sliced packed breads, they aint nothing but chemical fluff. I only buy whole loafs and just have the bakery department in the store slice it to my specs.

Now go laugh at your friends, explain they are full of shit and idiots.

you can tell your friends they are idiots.. and will mal-nurish very quickly.
You need a balanced diet.

Which geography? We talking African cavemen or after they wondered around Asia, or up into Europe? :winkwink:

No need to follow that logic of course, specially since many foods would not of exsisted back then anyways. Many of todays foods are foods today due to genetic manipulation caused by selective breeding and cross breading done throughout the hundreds and thousands of years.

I have to agree that they appear to be idiotic.

I have been on a raw food diet and it totally eliminated my acid reflux condition.

i went for the meat and fruit diet but you still need the carbs for the day so i suggest the balanced one will help ya out.

I am not a nutrition expert but fiver rich fruits are good for the health.
I still want vegies and carbos though.

yes, same here. no more heartburn since cutting way back on meat and going mostly fresh foods.

and low blood pressure, and BMI at 21.

tristan_D 08-11-2005 10:36 PM

I think that would just be perfectly healthy.

reed_4 08-11-2005 11:17 PM

i guess your friend's knowledge about meat vs. vegetables. we all know that veges are more healthy to eat that meat.

Gio_JoinRightNow 08-12-2005 11:05 AM

A little of meat, more on vegetables.....I think that would be perfect.

That's funny! So, if those rot in your stomach..where does the meat and fruit go? Btw..basically you are talking about an all protein diet with hardly NO carbs which is not healthy.

[illnet]-Tracie 08-12-2005 01:12 PM

where did they come up with this diet? :Oh crap

SGS 08-12-2005 01:18 PM

Less red meat, more fruit and veg. Its not rocket science.
