Urgent- Need Help!!!
A family member of mine recently suffered a back injury that has them in a wheel chair for the next 6 months. His Job is Technical, so he is still going to work, but his mobility is limited. All he has is a manual wheelchair. We tried to get him a motorized one through his insurance, but by the time the paperwork is done he will not need it. If anyone has access to a Motorized wheelchair, or knows anyone who does. We are desperately looking for a donation of a motorized wheelchair or a loaner. We really can't afford to buy one right now, used ones are about $1200 and New ones are over 4k!! Since he works at a computer all day he is seeking something similar to the image below. Hit me up on ICQ 197190113 Cristina...

You can't afford $1,200??? WTF? Kill your hosting, fold up the card table, get your priorities in order, and stop asking for handouts. Put the guy on a roller skate and push his ass to work :2 cents: I'm not insensitive, just laughing :1orglaugh

There is a charity that loans stuff like that.......trying to find the URL

Being in a wheelchair myself I can tell you right now that a lot of medical supply places will get you one while the paperwork is being processed, and or they rent them for short term applications.
|
i'm sorry but if you're looking here for handouts you're in the wrong place. MAYBE if you were a well known and trusted industry member it could happen.
Ask your health insurance agent about it. you might be able to get the hookup from them |
No one is asking for hand outs if you read the post... Your comments are unwelcome at a time like this. And yes, your comment are insensative. Truly nothing to laugh at, I hope someday when something happens to a loved one of yours that people will show the just compassion they need.

Unless of course the person really does not need an electric chair and would be perfectly fine in a manual chair. Lastly there are places like golden umbrella and other united way type organizations that do assist in such issues. Though I would not tie them up if the person either has insurance as you say or is capable of working. I would just hit up a medical supply place and get a chair rented for the time being. |
always a new one asking for handouts....
How can we NOT consider you a scammer? You have been on this borard for a short time, and yeat you feel enough "at home" to ask us for money? .. and that without showing us any credible info but your ICQ? ... shame on you preying on good people |

Thanks Much, I've been trying those places, and am on a waiting list right now.. Dr. Did say he is indeed in need of one, b/c of the meds he's on that a manual woudn't do him good. |
