Simple 2257 question

Let's say I wanted to use a softcore pic of chick from a solo girl site on a domain as the ad and link that to the paysite.

if this is the only pic on the entire domain do I need to link to that paysite's 2257 link? or link somewhere or something? :helpme

Assuming they indeed placed sub section (e) back into the 2257/2256 rules as has been reported during the court hearings, then a soft core non explicit photo would not need 2257 documentation, which would mean no link would be required.

Thanks - thats good news :)

Here is another stupid noob 2257 question... what is the definition of softcore non explicit?

girl with/without panties bending over for the camera? does that fall in the definition?

Michaelious 08-31-2005 03:20 PM

this is all just getting too complicated lol

Again if they added sub section (e) back into 2256/2257. Then the same standards that used to exist for non explicit will remain the same.

But what if the softcore pic is from a hardcore set?

If the thumb links to hardcore, then you have to have it. thumb to softcore, you wont. BUT the big this is, what will they decide is or is not hard core.

Again this would be covered in sub section (e) of the exemptions. It says in a pretty matter of fact way what is and is not covered.

jojojo 08-31-2005 05:03 PM

so it definitely depends on what it links to?

That is a very legal question.
Personally I think no it does not matter unless your linking to something on the same domain or same owners.

That would almost be the equivilant of amazon having 2257 on a softcore box cover picture that when you buy contains hardcore material.
