Yupp, I have a friend who had one (in germany). Also, with some modifications you can in fact use a gocart as a car in the EU.

I know one guy that drives an electric one around town since he lost his license for about the 4th time for DUI and driving with no insurance. Apparently since it has an electric motor they can't charge him for impaired, or at least that is his theory. I look forward to the day he gets to test that out.

Pretty much impossible to make a golf cart street legal unless you want to invest a lot of money. (in canada anyways)

You can drive them on the streets in certain golf communities here in FL. They sell those liitle cars are are basiclly a street legal golf cart.. I think Honda or someone makes them.

i see alot of golf carts driving around town outside Phoenix, but i don't know if they are legal or not.

Some places in Hawaii we can do that too, like subdivisions and North Shore, but I live in Waikiki and want one to drive down through town and shit. The cops drive 4-wheelers on the beaches and streets of Waikiki, I don't see the harm in letting at least one civilian do the same. :)

yea that's what i'm saying check out the Hondas I think they are.. it's like a little car that is totally street legal but looks like a golf cart.

Ah yeah, those are all over Waikiki. The Asians also rent them like they're going out of style and cause all kinds of headaches to real drivers.

there is one here that is jacked up with big wheels that drive around on the streets.

Here outside of Phoenix in a retirement community - a city called Sun City - golf carts are perfectly legal and the same laws that apply to cars also apply to golf carts.

It's horrible to drive there.
