Why didn't people leave NO before the storm hit?
This is the reason I will not donate money to NO. I donated to NoahsWish because pets and such have no means of leaving, but people should have gotten out of there long before...
|
They ain't got no cars.
|
exactly.. even if you forget about the people who use the excuse they are poor or didn't know it was coming...
i just heard a story about a company who had 300 people at the Ritz Carlton in NO and they did not leave. it was made public on CNN that they were stuck and hours later they had armed escorts and choppers taking them out. okay.. they obviousley had the money to leave, but stayed. fucking idiots. |

Some have no cars or transportation.
Some had no funds to leave let alone have some place to go. Some could not leave due to health reasons. Then besides it would still be pretty damn hard to evacuate an entire city that size. |
Jesus Christ, you will donate to a pet charity to help dumb animals but you won't help a person.. So what if these fucks didn't leave, maybe they couldn't or they thought they would be safe or they never knew.. It doesn't matter. People are people get a grip..

Also the disabled would have a hard time driving their way out don't u think? |
May you never need the mercy of another person.

I think most stayed by choice. If there was going to be a major natural diasaster in MI, I would hightail my ass outta here. It's not like these people didn't see what Andrew did in Florida or what happened to Hawaii. They had notice of what was to happen. Poor judgement on their part. I understand that some couldn't leave, but not as many as are currently there.

Those with cars had a hard time getting out due to the traffic jams. Tourists and business people could not leave because there were no rental cars left. Tourists and business people were stuck at the airport due to canceled flights. Many poor people did not have cars. Heck, if 500 buses were at the Superdome before Katrina hit, that would not even be enough to evacuate the entire city :2 cents: I do agree that a lot of people were stupid for staying... but I also think that a lot of people did not have the means to leave. |
Most just didn't have a way out. Those people probably didn't even have a way to the grocery store, let alone a way to get out of town..
|
Its not about not having a way out. Its about stubborn black people who didn't take heed to the warnings.
No thats not a racist comment, I grew up around them and I have African American descent. Stubborness. Sheppard Smith would call in reports to Fox News and he would interview people asking them why haven't they left yet....most people responded with "There is no reason to leave, they always give us these warnings" Maybe they cried wolf too many times prior to this hurricane. |
The whole thing is a giant ad for crazy glue....people were stuck there and the water cant even remove them....still haven't seen the fool hanging from the hard hat tho
|
You people are so damn clueless. :disgust
|
I hope people let you die if you fuckup one day ... stupid motherfucker

Many were stubborn and did not want to leave, however, MOST could not leave. Read the stories of the rich white folks stuck in traffic who HAD TO TURN AROUND and go home so they could seek shelter :2 cents: |
No car, no money, and nowhere to go
|
Most of the people that stayed are did not have a place to go money for gas and food and such. They also have been told about how bad the storm is going to be with almost every hurricane headed there way but they have not been that bad so figured that it would be ok like all the times before. I don't realy care what there reason was for staying I think that what has happened to them is horable and no one deserves to suffer like that black white rich poor what ever they need our help!!
|
You bunch of fucking morons... not everyone has access to transportation.... what about the elderly folk, disabled. etc. Did anyone actually see the hundred or so school buses that had been wrecked by water, that could of been used to transport people out of there.
The rest of the world is looking at the USA right now appalled at the way its handled this... third world countries would probably be better organised. Many people will die over the next few days because of the incompetence of the powers that be in the USA.... who are more concerned in protecting wealth than lives. |
There are also quite a few old people that have lived their all their lives and don't want to leave their homes :(
