Remote Desktop - do you need to forward ports?
If youre connecting to a server...
I cant seem to connect to my server Im sharing internet with a friend, both of us connected to a router, i cant connect directly to the net. |
Yes, I believe so. Remote Desktop uses Port 3389.
|
didnt work..
any other ideas? |
|
assign the port forwarding 3389 to the internal ip of the pc you want to connect ... then hit windows+break ... system properties will then pop up... click remote tab ... and check the remote desktop "Allow users to connect....." check in your firewall if remote desktop is already added to exemptions. :thumbsup
