Got a new gun! Time for a post your gun thread (PIC)
http://www.thevegabros.com/snw.jpg
Wanted an easier conceal. S&W .38 special Centennial/Airweight. This is a very popular concealed weapon. It is reliable, safe, accurate, small, and hammerless (does not get caught on your clothes when pulling out in a hurry). The newest addition to my collection. Let's go everyone, In the spirit of the American way, let's see your guns. |

haven't seen one of those cool gun. i don't carry around concealed weapons... but i do go hunting(more like camping getting drunk and stoned) and shoot around for fun. i like my thompson .357 with the long barrel and a scope. throw some 357 max bullets in there with the hollow tip and blow some shit up. my beretta is fun to fuck around with also. oh and can't forget the .223 semi auto colt running around in the woods acting like rambo. that gun is fun as hell to mess around with. :) ill get some pics up if i can find any on the net. my guns are in the safe at home.

.38 specials are great little guns. :thumbsup good choice

Good thing about a hammerless revolver is that you don't even have to pull it out of your coat pocket to fire it. So basically if you had to walk through a bad part of town you could have your hand on your gun inside your coat pocket ready to fire. A revolver with a hammer or an automatic you just cant do that. With an auto you'd get one shot but most likely would jam on the recoil for a second shot. Plus you would have to have a round chambered which is not that safe with an auto.

That's nice ... i have to go pick one up ...something small ... I've been carrying the Glock 40 and it's a compact but still heavy and a pain in the ass ... i really do carry in my waist and I need to workout .. hurts the gut when I'm sitting :1orglaugh ... ray's new one is much better in the waist because of the size and shape .. but he won't lend it to me ...I already scratched the 40 .. :( |

Out of all the pistols shown, I think that only the sig is any good in a combat situation. And of you dont think that home defense can turn into a combat situation, you are wrong.
A home invasion in Hialeah ( Miami area ) in 1998 hade more than 250 rounds fired between the owner, and the guys that came in. The owner was hit once with the " Spray and Pray " method, but he emptied 3 magazines from a H&K 9mm. Hit one subject 4 times, and the other 7. Both lived, and the guy with 7 rounds got into a fight with rescue. Thats PCP for you. But the owner said that he was only able to shoot back, when their guns jammed. They were both using Mac 10's When asked why he used and H&K, he said that it was the only weapon that he knew of what would not jam after rapid fire of 2 + magazines. I personally never had any problems with my Sig, but I did with a beretta, and a S&W |
P99 QA, just for fun at the range, I live in one of the top three safest cities in the entire United States, I doubt I'd ever need it for "home defense"... :)

Arguing about "which gun is a better combat gun" is pointless. All of them do their job, and they do it well if maintained. All of them are nearly jam free if cared for. I'm on 7,000+ rounds through mine with zero jams, stove pipes, failures to fire, etc. Not even a single defective bullet...and I'm lazy with cleaning! lol. It's very similar to arguing about one "car" being better for getting you to the store, a Honda Accord, Nissan Maxima, or Toyota Camry. All will do the job if maintained. |
smith and wesson 910S
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42...s/shootgfy.jpg http://www.gunshopfinder.com/smithan.../model910S.jpg love it, but i am now looking for something smaller, this one is a bit cumbersome to carry. also i would like to get a larger caliber like .40 or .45 |
LOL GUNS AND GUINNESS BABY, real nice combo there smack...Glad I don't live next door! :)
