edit: as for why, it does everything for you. Lots of great plugins, out of the box its pretty SEO friendly.

Juicy, will researching for our free host blog addon to (See banner in Sig) only thing that kept on coming up was wordpress.

wordpress seems to be the most common answer but I'm really liking joolma mainly because it does a hell of a lot more than just blogging, which fits my needs more.

Boast Machine http://boastology.com/ is what I have start using and recommending to clients.
It is a lot less bulky than alot of the other scripts and for me it is alot easier to use.

This is a bit boring............... but Wordpress :)

I have one Wordpress blog that I LOVE, it was easy and really fast to set up, and I use Livejournal for the personal private shit. But the Wordpress is really robust.
