Drama: Please Tell Me Wellcash Did Not Chargeback $39 On Us?
Jesus Christ? Wellcash just charged back a $39 charge for a Mark's Bookmarks partner account? Because your brother said he used your card? How fucking old are you guys 15? Who in the hell lets their brother use their credit card in the first place? Jeeesh!
Holy shit guys, you have certainly lost a lot of respect in my book and in addition your company has been added to the blacklist of sponsors. DH |

I can't believe someone would chargeback a $39 charge? If you didn't want the account why not simply e-mail us and notify us? We would have refunded you back no problem at all...
So very lame... DH |
To chargeback you need an excuse. And this sounds just like that.
|
First time i hear about Wellcash... :eek7

I will tell the story so we can have a end to this. I have used submitpasses couple of months and they have been great. When i payed i used my brothers creditcard. It seams that he have made a chargeback couse he didint know what he was paying.
If you think that i made a chargeback on 39usd its up to you. |

I was disappointed with my marks bookmarks account, but I wouldn't think of charging back.
I think it takes running your own site and dealing with cc's and chargebacks to truly appreciate what an asshole move it is to do to someone else though... |
so "wellcash" shot themselves in the foot before anyone even knew their name? lol.
|
CBs make me sad :(
|
There are times when it's appropriate to charge back....only as a last resort, though, and after all channels for a refund or resolution have been exhausted.
Seems to me that DH would have gladly refunded....chargebacks suck. |
What is Wellcash?
|
DH you dont want to resolve this problem with me?
|
not nice wellcash.. you realy should contact DH first.. his very honest in my opinion.
|
Lame excuse, if you used your brothers card you should be making him aware of the charges so he doesn't charge anything back.
And if you don't tell him, he probably should have assumed it was one of your charges and to leave it. Either way I call BS on your excuse |

I could care less about $39, it's the chargeback that drives me nuts. As anyone with a merchant account knows chargebacks are a big deal and we try to avoid them at all cost. It's hard to negotiate a lower % credit card processing rate when you get silly chargebacks like this... Maybe I flew over the top on this with you (and I apologize) but it infuriates me to no end when I see chargebacks that can easily have been avoided. DH |

I icq-ed Johnny from Wellcash.
First I was told you used your brothers credit card and you dont know why he charged back. Then I was told "wtf, I spoke to him, he didnt do a CB"...theeeeeen I was told "wait he did do a CB, but maybe it was an erorr" wtf? Like I told you via ICQ, you HAVE to be responsible of you buy. Ray |
Chargebacks suck if you have your own merchant account.
|
Well at least know most of us heard about this program...lol j/k
|
To solve this, wellcash, you need to contact the credit card company and tell them it was a mistake and you now recognize the charge and want the chargeback reversed. They will bitch at you but will do it.
DH will still be stuck with the chargeback fee which, by right, you should return to him. The chargeback will still show on his account but will show as reversed, and will not be included in the number of chargebacks when calculating any fees for going over the limit. I went through this with a customer who charged back a $78 video order. I called him and he said he didn't recognize the company name on his statement, even though it's clearly on the receipt. He contacted his bank, reversed the chargeback, and paid me the $35 chargeback fee as well. My account shows 1 chargeback in 7 years but if they read it, they will see it was reversed. Get it reversed, pay them the chargeback fee you owe them, and use your own credit cards in the future. |
Although it is lame and bad business... why GTS is hurting the reputation of this little company over a tiny chargeback is beyond me. Don't you guys make enough cash on those expensive ads where you could just overlook this.
|
that's so amateur.

Chargebacks are not something to take lightly. |
and your the juvenile fuck that brought it to the boards... hmm.
|
Yes I realize that chargebacks do suck and only hurt you, but it also seems like it happened unintentionally. Sure, you should be upset and want the issue resolved, but don't you think this thread was a little overkill?
Surely this can't be the first time you ran into a billing dilemma. |
That totally blows!
|
This seems rather irresponsible to me. If you used someone else's credit card, that person is the one who's making the purchase and has the obligations to the agreement made. I don't know why you would use someone else's card like this without them knowing about it (which seems to be the case if they chargedback blindly) but it certainly demonstrates irresponsible management.

If you can't use, or do not have your own credit card, are you under age or simply uncreditworthy? |
Mark,
I don't know if you're still there but I would like to talk to you ASAP. I'm pretty sure you know what this is about (I hope Ray fowarded the e-mail to you). |
