splitting xvid avi files
 

i bought this program to spilt avi files simply called 'avi splitter' but when i try and split them it says i need the xvid codec, which i already have. i try reinstalling it but it never works. any video guys have any clue why this might be? im gonna ask the company i got it from too but i figure i'll get quicker responses here.

Is it the one from Boilsoft.com? Can you play the avi file?

no, its from http://www.media4pc.com/avi-split/index.html i can play the file on my computer, no problem but i can't open it with the splitter program.
