Recently my car has been broken into twice, with the thieve(s) stealing a couple thousand dollars worth of stereo equipment and doing a couple thousand dollars worth of damage to my car.

(yes, I have an alarm, they always find a way around it)

Obviously I've a very bitter person. So tonight my dog goes balistic at the window. I look out and I see someone digging in the back of my neighbors truck. The first thing that comes to mind is "thats the fucker that broke into my car."

I grab my bat and my dog and go out to confront the person. Half way across my yard I say "who's there" - it's my neighbor, meanwhile my room mate grabs a shot gun and brings it out. I tell my neighbor whats going on and go back into my house.

About 15 min later he comes to my door and tells me he doesn't appreciate me bringing a bat and shotgun onto his property. (he was in the street) I said to him "what the hell you want me to do? Let someone break into your stuff?" -- He repeatedly tells me he doesn't appreciate me bringing this stuff out. I tell him I want a piece of the fuckers and that he should be glad that I pay attention to what is going on with his household/cars.

So who would you consider to be in the right?

Me for bringing out a bat and shotgun or him for complaining to me about bringing it out?

I forgot to add that the cops don't come around this area and even if they did they never seem to do shit.

Well I dont think you could use the shotgun anyways... but i know what it feels like man..... I have seen my roomates car get broken into.... After the first time, we bought High Powered Pellet Guns..... The second time (about a month later, they always know when to hit) we heard his alarm go off and ran out to our balcony with our pellet guns..... We unloaded into this guys "gettaway van" broke the windshield and back taillights... felt so fucking good.... We never got in shit.... building security and cops both said "you should of shot the person" they are just young pieces of shit that do this all the time.... But I believe you were in the right... who cares what your neighbor thinks, you gotta get these fuckers back!

I'll take you as my neighbor any day of the week. i would have done the same. Too many fuckin' pussies these days who would just look the other way and then pretend they didn't see anything.

Your neighbor is the same kind of person who would have been pissed if his truck was broken into and you told him that you saw some weird activity but you didn't do anything because you weren't sure if it might have been him.

If it was my car I'd be as happy as fuck to have you watching out, his story would have been real different if someone had actually been breaking into it I bet.

You would love my neighbors, they are running a drug house. The cops have been here almost daily and still won't do anything about it. I caught one of the bastards siphoning gas from my rig one night and while the wife was calling the cops I went out and tackled the asshole, when the cops got there they let him go with a warning(after many different warnings in the past) and then told me he could press charges for assualt against me.
To top it off these guys don't rent or own the house, it is up for sheriffs auction after being repoed, they just moved in and started business. The local law says they can do nothing about it.

Hey.. your neighbor is a douche bag wimp!! But on the other hand, you better be aware of the laws where you live and the consequences... I fully support shooting the piece of shit breaking into your car, but in most states you will be arrested and tried for manslaughter minimum.. brandishing a firearm can also be illegal in many instances.. just be sure you know the law and are willing to suffer the consequences!!!

But if you do get a chance to shoot the piece of shoot... make sure you kill him.. and make sure you can prove that you fely your life was in danger... (i.e. plant an untraceable throwaway weapon on him... etc..)

I don't want to kill the person, I just want to beat the fuck out of them. The shotgun was brought out only for intimidation. I had my bat in hand to lay down the real ass beating :)

I had a big system in my last car (95 Thunderbird Supercoupe)... Fuckers stole my Orion Amps, Top of the line Pioneer Premier CD, and my crossover. The dumb bastards could'nt get into my trunk to get my enclosure with my three 12" Pheonix Gold Subs.

They used a brick to get in the passenger window. (Very high tech!) And just took their time and took as much as they could.

Pissed me off because this was in my building's underground parking structure and you have to have a key to get in....

The dumb ass building personnel were just like "oh well, happens all the time"... I wanted to pound the fuckers! Your shitty security is the reason for this break in.... Oh well insurance paid for it but I decided it was not worth my time installing a new system so I pocketed the $$$

My stock stereo in my Mustang GT is plenty enough for now. Don't have to worry about punk ass kids breaking in for it.

If I ever catch a fucker breaking into my shit I won't call the cops... I will take my time with him and enjoy it :mad:

Yeah, they hit my car twice:

The first time I didn't have an alarm (stupid me) - they stole an amp, my pioneer deck, and basically tore my drivers side door and inside of my car apart. They didn't get my 15 inch sub because it was huge.

The insurance paid for the deck and the car repairs, not the amp.

The second time I had an alarm, exact same deck, new xpunch 15inch sub (blew my old one), and a rockford fosgate 600watt amp. This time they cut into my hood, clipped the alarm wires, and tore my drivers side door apart so bad I had to get a new one. They stole everything, the sub, the amp, the deck. The hood was trashed, and the car wouldn't start because the alarm had killed the alternator.

Now I have a ghetto fabulous system, it consists of a tape deck and my basic speakers. When I hit bumps in the road it cuts out.

Same story here.. car stereo stole (about $2500 worth) and I even knew pretty much who stole it.

The cop came and when I mentioned who it was he went back to his car and when he returned he said that the best he could do is fill out a report.

You could see the theives prints on the truck but he would fingerprint the truck at all. I told him that this person had asked me where to find a cheap cd player only 2 days before, that I saw her and her friends in the parking lot, and when I came out they were gone and so was my shit! Still, he did nothing.

Come to find out the reason he wasn't going to do anything was that the the main person involved in stealing the system was the girlfriend of another deputy in town.

I don't think I've ever been so disgusted with the police in all my life.

So if I ever catch another fucker stealing anything of mine I will drag their ass into my house and shoot them in the head.:BangBang:

I used to live in an all dominican neighborhood.
At the time, I had a restored 72 GS convertible. There was no off street parking. After the first couple of days of parking on the street, I started to notice scratches all over the car.. I'd catch these dope dealing thugs leaning on it, sitting on it, ect.. I was constantly opening my door, yelling out to these motherfuckers to get off the car.. One day, I found my stereo gone & my brand new convertible top sliced open & the ignition popped.. I was fucking pissed.. I called the cops & the fuckers said nothing they could do, they'd file a report. I thought the least they could do was look for prints & do their fucking job, anyway, as usual, they were useless. I had to take matters into my own hands.
I dont remember what the shit was called, but I had a box this stuff in my closet that I found on the railroad tracks a few years back, these little round clayish type thingies, that when compressed & then decompressed make a very lound BOOM!!
I took some of these little clayie thingies & put them between the doors of my car, & I purposely left the doors unlocked..well, sure enough, one night, I heard a BIG BOOM!! I was at the door with a shotgun aimed at the fuckers like a fucking mainiac.. STAY THE FUCK AWAY from my car.., all these dirty fucking dominicans were screwing away like the roaches they are... An hour later, the cops were at my door saying they got a complaint that I was shooting at the roaches..lol..those pukes thought the BOOM was from the shotgun..lol
Of course the cops didnt want to do their job..
I told em what happened & showed em all the damage to the car, etc & they were sympatheitc to my motives, but they wanted the shotgun.. fine with me, cuz the shotgun was a fake. it was a replica of a shotgun that shot little plastic pellets,lol, so I handed it over.. for the next several months, these little fuckers never came near my house, my car , or me.. When I walked down the street, the fuckers would cross to the other side to avoid crossing my path, & I'd hear under thier breath to each other.. "there's that crazy white boy"..lol

You were in the right.. fuck your neighbor.. If I were him, I'd be appreciative that I had a neighbor who was looking out for my interests.. Damn, I wish someone would've caught the fuckers slicing my brand new convertible top..
