Fighting the war on porn
 

Should we develop a defense fund? There are three suits so far that I know of. If they go down doesn't it open the door wider? I know that many here do not support some of the sites in question but a well funded defense of these sites would creats some case law as to what is obscene. Do we want any site to be rolled over and leave the door wide open?

If we have one let me know where to contribute.

When it comes down to it, it's every man for himself. People want you to THINK that it's all about unity but if nobody is kicking down THEIR door, It's cool. That's the mentality. If I got busted for some bullshit, people on here would dance on my grave and I would do the same thing to them....So fuck em.

Well this fits with that actually. I pay a little now to have these other people fight my battle. Enemy of my enemy is my friend type of thing but this is even better. They would appreciate the help and I would like the defense and eventual clarity.

And what happens the day they start bothering the bc & cc companies, the hosts, the registrars and so on?
No ones need to step on parades in front of the white house, but some kind of funded organization would make it easier to be heard (as long its not an organization which backstab their members...)

Its that attitude that got us in this situation.Until we start thinking as group, its very easy to pick us off. As far as FSC saying the only way to be protected is to become a member, I can understand that,the need for money to fight the good fight and webmasters are very cheap when it comes to things like that. They will gladly spend money on showy bullshit but on this they are very tight with a nickle. When you consider the number of us and the money made if everyone gave 50 bucks a quarter we would have a huge fucking war chest and they would think twice about fucking with us. Then on the other hand you run a porn website in polk county your fucking dumb specially when they have a history of fucking with webmasters.

The FSC is not what you think they are. they are for profit, and then plan on making one. So far, we have not heard a peep from them on these issues, and they should be all over this. But their check book comes first, and in the long run, when the DOJ starts shutting down the sites, who will be their paying members then???

They are idiots, and I hate myself for paying them.

They went to wash dc a few weeks a ago for meetings with politians ,I think until they have all the facts they arent going to make statements.If you want to good work money is very important.

If the FSC would step up on this I would support them. not sure how many others would but it would be more then worth another contribution.

However, I do agree that if we don't unite, the american webmasters will get raped and ate alive by the us GOV.

For me it's a no-no to the highest degree to attack me because I'm an art site and literature. The argument against free speech is so strong in my favor no lawyer or organization in their right mind would want to. I'd stomp them so flat and sue them and their lawyers so hard it would put em' all in the poor house. I know, I've got some of the best 1st Amendment lawyers in the country as friends and fam and they know why I have a site.

For you guys who are just in it for the money and put up all kinds of gross shit to make a buck, rebill people stupidly and really break the borders you are gonna get a beat down.

Hugh Hefner, Larry Flint, Bob Guccione all published some of the best interviews, news stories, photo essays in modern day journalism because they didn't have to kiss some politician's ass. Because of that lots of people are alive and well today because they got the truth from alternative and professional sources.

That's half the bitch right there. I use my stuff to get info to artists that they will not get anywhere else because the big corporations and exploiters don't want artists to know about them. Anytime you have a bunch of attention from the public you can use that to fight oppression. One man's obscenity is another man's news.

I remember when I was younger, the tv shows would run those Holocaust films every freakin' day and WWII and WWI shit. Dead babies and shit during the dinner hour no less! To me that was obscene and scarred people. Yet they didn't do it to be gross outs, they did it to remind people what can happen when you don't know what's going on in the world or turn a blind eye to it. Had the people known fully what was going on in Europe they would have protested thus averting a global war perhaps.

It's about mind control in the media, plain and simple.

In our cases we do this for our own reasons. Mine, to use another format to fight the 'man'. It works too! Never had this much freedom to print and I can reach 100s of thousands and even millions in one swipe. They all know I'm kidding around and don't take porn seriously cause they can see me poking fun at it.

Believe-you-the-fuck-me, if I used my powers to attack politicians through cartoons I would stomp every blowhard politico flat. I know I used to work for a huge news service and when I did editorial cartoons I put fear in the hearts of people around the world.

In the comics business we have CBLDF.org that's the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. They supposedly back up retailers and comics guys who get busted for stupid shit.

Bottom line is what your motive is. What your intention really is and what product you produce. You all could learn a lesson from Hef, Flint, Guccione and use your powers to put some real news on your sites and team up to help fight sexual abuse, crime etc.

Oh, and another thing, the fucking creeps out there want the U.S. porn sites shut down so their foreign cronies can pick up the slack.

You guys are making far too much money and it ain't in the control of the people who would subdue you. If all the U.S. pornmeisters teamed up and pooled their money and sites as a means to fight the man, it would put unprecedented terror in the hearts of every head of state in the fucking world, every political shitheel, every dirty cop, dirty judge and other evil-doers. It would scare them so bad because they would never know when you guys would run a pic of their criminal activities and reach 100 million people in a fart second faster than the mainstream news and put TITS on it to boot.

I know for a fact that if some dirty cop or judge or politico started some shit with me, within 5 seconds their shit would be so far spread over the web they would never recover. Then I'd do cartoons of their asses so potent they wouldn't be able to run for neighborhood shrubbery clipping captain.
