A mouth-watering problem with Google
I was reading Salon a bit ago, a saw a thing about "Unmentionable Cuisine". I read it and was enthralled.
Saté bumbu dendeng "Cut dogmeat into pieces and marinate them in a mixture of coconut cream with a little soy sauce, pounded garlic and onions, ground coriander, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Skewer, broil over charcoal, and serve with a pickled hotsauce." Sounds tasty, eh? So, anyhoo, I input "Dog Recipies" into Google, as I'm really not all that fond of Thai food, and was hoping for a nice stew or soup. But all I get is page after page of how to make nice tasty treats FOR your dog, not FROM your dog. You can see how this would...well...offend me? Upset me? Vex me? I would really like to eat my neighbors dog, preferably for dinner tonight (Yellow Lab, about 70 pounds of the hoof, should dress out to about 25 lbs. of succulent, tasty meat). If you have any dog recipies to share, please do so...dinner is at 8 P.M. MST, so a little over 3 hours. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer. |
Its not just a Asian thing. My uncle is Swiss and says some places serve it and use dog lard in speciality items.
Its a dark Swiss secret. http://www.europeanvegetarian.org/ev...s964/dogs.html |
For your dog recipes, I would imagine you could go to Martha Stewarts website and just search and replace "beef" with "dog".
That way you will end up with both a tasty old world New England dog dish, but it will also be done with style. |
As I pet my Doberman, I dont even crack a smirk.

All I can say is my standard response of 'Never eat your dog!' A good dog can always go out and catch a nice cat for dinner. This of course does not apply to those dogs that are smaller than cats. They aren't good for anything, not even a snack.
