How much did Playboy buy GFY + Adult.com for?
Playboy is a public company, so this information must be disclosed. Has anyone looked into the numbers to see how much it was sold for?
|
something with a lot of zeros on the end of it
|
I could see more of a partnership thing happening, not an outright sale
|
not positive, but I believe that the requirment to disclose purchases comes at the end of a quarter, but again, not positive.

I think it's safe to say that the exact number will have no bearing nor will it have any affect on your life what so ever.
|
It will come out in SEC filings at some point.

It does not make sence if it is delayed for several weeks/months from a shareholder standpoint. |
well if u really need to know, go signup at MarketWatch.com or Edgaronline.com .. I see lots of filings in the past weeks listed on both.
So maybe its been filed but not on public display yet for all the details. Remember Playboy = PLA and adult.com would most likely be ICS if there were acronyms :) |
Most companies file an 8-K/A form within 90 days of an acquisition.

Why does it always have to be a bunch of zero's why not a bunch of nine's? :upsidedow |
Could even be some 8's with a few 7's and 9's in the mix.

From yesterday's Playboy 8k:
Entertainment Last week we signed an agreement with Comcast for distribution of our movies on that company's VOD platforms and of Playboy TV as a SVOD service. We expect the roll out to begin this quarter. Additionally, we recently acquired ICS Inc., an online distribution business with an extensive affiliate network. We expect this acquisition to create opportunities to promote our web sites to a broader audience and to roll out new products, sites and distribution outlets. |
This is what there 8k said about it -
"Additionally, we recently acquired ICS Inc., an online distribution business with an extensive affiliate network. We expect this acquisition to create opportunities to promote our web sites to a broader audience and to roll out new products, sites and distribution outlets." |
I know nothing about SEC filings. I really doubt that much $ changed hands up front. But who knows, Lens is a smart businessman.
|
They used the barter system. Lensman accepted two cows, a goat, and a mule in exchange for adult.com

This is correct. Except the "A" at the end of the 8-K/A is for an "amendment". |
And for those of you looking for any stock issued in the transaction on www.sec.gov, you will want to look for a Form S-8.
