I needed something to do, at the time I got into the biz.
I was on disability and was getting bored

"I just wanted to make some money."

I smell too bad and lack social skills to work in a real-life environment.

I was a pervert by trade...it was the next logical step :)

I was in grad school living off of just $180/month, and the school wouldn't allow you to get an outside job, because they wanted you to devote your time to your thesis project. So I figured I could be sneaky and make money online without them knowing. I ended up making more money than my major would have allowed me, so I stayed in it. :)

back in 1999 I had a roommate who had a PC & internet. We would surf the net, play games, etc. And look at porn.

anyway, when he wasnt home, I would use his computer. It was new to me, I was fascinated by the internet & all its information. I wanted to know how this all worked. I found the view source button. I was amazed & wanted to know more. I read every html article & tutorial I could find. I bought html for dummies. I wanted to know how to do this.
One night, I used my roomates pass for teensteam to get access to some porn. I clicked the link that said make money!! & that was the start of me making porn sites.
