Hotlinking question

I need something that can keep other websites from deeplinking or hotlinking into one I create.

Is there something out there that I can use?
Is there something that is free?

I'm a real amateur at doing this so I appreciate the help. My main concern is that they not be able to by-pass the main page.

You can prevent hotlinking with .htaccess file entries. I think you can also put mod-rewrite entries to force home page starts.

Check out the documentation at www.apache.org
