1,000 Members In My Yahoo Group...
 

Okay so I have a measley 1,000 or so members in my li'l Yahoo Group. How to convert em'? Upsell em' to a good program they'll like? Any programs good for members? I know most members are lookin' for free stuff but if just 10% upsell to a rebillable program at $10 or more it's still a good chunk of change at year's end.

I have friends that built huge yahoo groups I have found they tend to be free loader central .

I have three yahoo groups, all of which are appear on the first page of their categories. One is #1, the other two are #2 positions. Totally, I have 58,686 subscribers for all three groups. I make about $2K a month from them, plus what I make from the traffic I get from them to my site.

I have a 2k+ group. I use CeCash free mags and make about 10 - 15 cents a click. Make sure you give them explicit instructions on how to sign up.

Depends on the category. Especially avoid the adult categories.

BTW, I get 2K new subscribers a week just from people browsing yahoo groups.

Yahoo groups are for freeloaders...

I have two groups I've been running for 5 years. One has almost 8000 members and the other only 1500 and I make sweet FA from them. Another group owner and myself discussed this the other day and it's guys under 18 and those without cc's who join for the free pics we give them. We posted this on a group and a couple of surfers said that's the reason they join.. No cards :(

They are still good to promote your own sites I think, as one day that 17 y.o. will have a cc and might join our sites :)

Actually I just searched for "sex" in groups and I am the 2nd recomended group - "sexchat"

Now that has to be worth something.

Its gonna be the only time I can say I have a number 2 position on google for the search word "sex" lol

I think they pay $1.50 per active email... they don't pay per click, but I guess he converts 1 in 10, hence 15 cents per click...

Fuck Yahoo.

We built up ExtremeBondageFantasies yahoo group a few years back to 14,000 members - and Yahell deleted it without notice or explanation. Same fate for our 8500 MaleTorture yahoo group. We kept the member list for the male group - re-created the group again...sent out 8500 email invites, and the fuckers killed the group again within a few months.

Jeez, it doesn't take Hong Kong Phooey to figure out why the fuck your group got cancelled. With a name like 'MaleTorture' it shoulda been banned. Fuck it, why don'tcha' just start a group called 'Mangled Baby Ducks' or somethin'.

It had nothing to do with the actual name of the group.

There's groups with far more explicit names than male torture that have existed on yahoo for a long while. MaleTorture actually survived for several years before they first axed it.

They killed the groups shortly after we complained to Yahoo that some of our copyrighted images were being stolen and redistributed on other yahoo groups. Yahoo's solution to our complaint was to shut us down and delete our user accounts.

That's why I say 'fuck Yahoo'
