Spam me w/ Dating Sponsor with *NO* Cam upsell
No cam upsell in the member area or cams pop up when I send traffic to their site. Thank you. :)

interesting.. may i ask why the upsell concerns you after getting paid for the initial dating traffic that u've sent?

I sell cam sponsors to the same traffic. If they join the dating site and later pay for cams through it I don't get paid.

Good post - it's about time!
I'm getting tired of sending my targeted dating/videochat SE traffic to dating sponsors who leak the traffic (exits, trick links) to NO-follow-me-credit cross-sells for videochat, online shop, and other niches for which I already have sponsors and *my* traffic is ripe for conversion. It's one thing if you send traffic and it converts into affiliate sale/revenue FIRST - after that, a sponsor can upsell/cross-sell all they like. Good on 'em. That's smart business. BUT, to divert dating targeted surfers to NO-follow-me-credit videochat promos on the TOUR side is pushing it. This also applies to any attempts to get a free membership to jump tracks into a videochat sale INSTEAD of the dating sale they were lined up for. Some argue that PPS entitles a sponsor to pitch whatever they want to affiliate traffic and not pay for it - fair enough, that's why I prefer sponsors who are 100% tight and leak-free - ALL exits, follow-me, cross/up sells are credited to the affiliate. The problem is that affiliate revenues/sales are skimmed (or that other 'S' word) by losing dating signups to videochat signups. It's an obvious niche overlap. A person interested in dating is very likely to be interested in videochat and if given the two choices, may go for videochat INSTEAD. Again, if a sponsor discloses (and some do), and/or it's obvious that they will sideswipe your traffic with offerings which may steal your sales (and you don't get credit), that's ok too - as an affiliate, it's your call to play the odds. You may still net revenue for your traffic and you calculate your ROI on the PPS you do get. What annoys me, are (dating) sponsors who claim they don't skim/leak/exit your traffic and you find out they do. Some admit to it and try to back peddle their way out by offering to remove the leaky links from your specific tours, or suggest that was just a 'temporary trial' and they promise not to do it again - I have experienced both. The worst is when a sponsor refuses to acknowledge that they skim/leak your traffic and it's obvious they do. So, are there ANY dating sponsors who do NOT compete with their affiliate revenue opportunities on the front end nor in the free membership side? Better still, are there ANY dating sponsors who fully credit their affiliates for ALL niche revenues the affiliate traffic brings them (as most topshelf sponsors do these days) - it's good business and it builds long-term relationships. ANYONE?? -Dino |

How large is your DB (profiles)? Which regions do you cover (eg. US, Canada, ??)? How well can you convert non-hetero targeted dating traffic (eg. gay, lesbian, transgender)? Thanks, -Dino |
