Big Oil To Defend Profits Today
 

A senate hearing is set today to examine the record profits of $30 billion dollars that the Oil companies bilked from consumers last quarter.

The questioning will not be done under oath.

Bilked is exactly the word.

Took a cab home from the bar last night. To my surprise theyve added 2 dollars to the fare due to "rising fuel costs". I call gouging because at least here, gas has gotten cheaper.


Just rambling.

It's purely coincidence that this happened while someone from the oil industry was president.

I think that it's good that there will be some high level discussion on the topic. I think it's a bit disturbing that they won't be questioned under oath. I think that sends the wrong message to the public.
