A great photographer has left us.

Photographer Lord Lichfield dies.

A truly great shooter.

Quote:

Interviewed in October by the BBC News website he told reporter Caroline Briggs: "Remember that the person you are photographing is 50% of the portrait and you are the other 50%.

"You need the model as much as he or she needs you. If they don't want to help you, it will be a very dull picture."
True words.

yes, and some other greats have passed recently, two of my heros:

Richard Avedon
Helmut Newton

sniperwolf 12-05-2005 08:22 PM

he's now in peace...

JamesK2 12-05-2005 08:24 PM

RIP to him.

PixeLs 12-06-2005 12:25 AM

RIP Lord Lichfield.

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 12-06-2005 12:46 AM

Didn't he die like almost a month ago?

What exactly was his contribution to the adult industry? Just another boring stodgy portrait shooter of celebrities from what I have seen...nothing expensive cameras and access can't do.

At least Richard Avedon and Helmut Newton created far more compelling portraits, and Helmut was a major contributor to erotica photography.

Share some praiseworthy photos of Lord What's-His-Name...so that those who have never heard of him can share your grief.
