I haven't tried that yet but I guess it's great since sms messaging through mobile phone costs alot. I am interested on this.

The same way you call the cell phone number. Thats my experience.

international sms always has extra charge per sms. So don't get all crazy.

Cingular has international sms, works fine, 20 cents a message to most cell phones in europe, check out their webstie for details

As long as the USA carrier is GSM ie T-Mobile or Cingular, if you are on a European phone and roaming...SMS as WAY cheaper than either making or accepting a call. And has worked great for me in the past before I moved here.

I believe sending SMS from a US phone no. to EU costs not much more than normal SMS.

There are always websites that you can send to EU for free of course :winkwink:

Try your carriers web site. Mine has an area where you can send SMS free if you have an account with them.

on tmobile i send sms to czech and it's 45 cents per text and 15 cent to receive from europe.
