Cartoon image needed

Ok... I've pretty much decided that I need to get a cartoon image developed to 'brand' my 2257 MAVIS software. My idea would be a sexy, voluptuous cop in a very revealing uniform.... I like the style of cartoon that BlueWire Design does, but unfortunately, since the software hasn't been selling, I can't afford their prices... If anyone can come up with a resonable cartoon with a good price I'd be really greatful!...

Thanks!

Why isnt it selling?

Maybe it just needs more marketing, seems like a product such as that would fly off the server.

just out of curiosity...what is the reason the website is so ugly? it says right on top that it is ugly on purpose...

i know it sounds really superficial, but i never buy software from a site that isn't properly designed. To me design is the first thing you see when you go shopping or are looking for a product, and if the design is poor, then the product must not be up to standards either....just the way I think

In all my years of buying things, i have gotten ripped off or bought shitty products from more shitty designed sites than professionally designed sites

I am not saying your product is shitty by any means....just curious as to why the site is like that?

Well the answer to your question is simple... I'm not a web site designer and the site is ugly on purpose because it's main focus is to simply provide information about the software... I have several other sites and they're all fairly 'simple' because I just don't have an 'eye' for design... my artistic talents are more musically inclined... But I can write the hell out of a database applicatiion!

I'm looking at getting a web site design in place but since I'm 'graphically challenged' I have to figure out how in the heck to afford a good design. I'm hoping to get the cartoon image done and then perhaps build the site design around that.

My other sites are www.clariondeveloper.com, www.singularvisionsoftware.com, www.firewallreporting.com (my first site), www.wepkeygenerator.com and www.thevideoprofessorscam.com So you can see I have several sites and they are all basically ugly. MS Frontpage is not my favorite piece of software.

You're absolutely correct... it needs more marketing... and I'm simply not a marketer. I originally wrote the software under contract with Newbreed (who's a heck of a nice guy) but he wasn't able to market it and ended up in some financial difficulties and couldn't pay the development costs. So, instead of being a dick head and taking him to court or putting a lien on his house, I simply had him assign the ownership of the software back to me and basically let him off the hook in hopes that I would at least be able to sell enough to recover my development costs. A big part of the problem is the never-ending saga of the lawsuit between the FSC and the DOJ. There's a lot of adult webmasters who could easily use my product but they are simply sitting on the fence and not doing anything regarding 2257 until Judge Miller makes his decision.

I've got a few pretty good sized programs using the software and they seem to be pretty satisifed with it and I'm continuing to do additional development based upon their feedback and requirements.

I think one of the issues in terms of marketing the software is although it has a great name, MAVIS, it needs a 'face' to go with the name. Hence my requirements for a good cartoon character for the marketing efforts.

It's just as easy to get ripped off by a good looking site as opposed to an 'ugly' site... Just like it's just as easy to fall in love with a rich woman as opposed to a poor one... (well, it might be just a tad bit easier to fall in love with the rich one... but they're harder to find than the poor ones...) :winkwink:
