MSN Search
 

MSN is indexing sites as fast as I can make them.

Google usually indexes once a week but MSN is doing it in like less then a day.

I've noticed it about a week ago.


Anbody else notice this?

Been like that for months now.. its really good traffic
It have something to do with the amount of pages indexed + and SE algorithm
The more complex algorithm, the longer it will take to index sites = longer time between indexes

Results 1 - 100 of about 28,000,000 for porn [definition]. (0.09 seconds) - Google

Page 1 of 444,598,300 results containing porn (0.79 seconds) - MSN

And the results don't look that much different.

I don't think it's so much of MSN being to simple or to small - I think M$ is just learning how to do search better

I mean its not like they don't have the money to throw at it :winkwink:

I'm not doubting that - I'm just saying that microsoft results aren't looking bad. They are improving they are getting better - do you disagree?

"better"? depends who you are. Its much to easy to cheat, and rate sites pretty bad some times... "different"? yes much actally.

Google is much better in content heavy sites, finding site relations and rating based on actual content.

MSN results actually don't look that bad at all.

I just did a number of searches for various terms that attract spammers and I'm seeing similar results for both - so whatever

I dont always get the best results when searching with Google.

Let me guess the same sites are always showing up.

On another note - Yahoo has results that must be 10 years old. :1orglaugh

persommaly if I drew a comparisom btween googlr and yahoo I would say trhet yahoo

Yep. :) Just saying traffic is real low compared to Google.

Yahoo is a good mix tho, pretty easy to get top listings and traffic volume is okay. Considering.

Microsoft search sends me about 200 clicks to just one 3-word mature search term a day..
Microsoft search is productive - no doubt, but can still not be compared to google

It seems like yahoo does better on pages I built 4 years ago

I've got no complaints with my MSN traffic. EZ to rank high with my blogs.

In the top 10 for "free porn" and "free sex" and some other minor phrases like those and I only get 5k a day maybe
