I think the type of illness isn't really an issue. Wishing death on someone is wrong no matter how you wish it will happen. If he'd wished that theking would be hit by a bus, we'd have insensed people in her posting about how they had a family member that got killed by a bus.

However I think some of you rushing to protect him should go and read his threads and opinions. Or is it all right for a person to be killed in another way besides cancer?
