GoFuckYourself.com - Adult Webmaster Forum - Looking for non-adult Merchant Account

Hello all,

I have a new non-adult venture I'm considering getting involved with, which is more of a bricks & mortar type of business. To charge for services we will be providing, I would ideally like to get a Merchant Account and most likely use Authorize.net for the gateway. I won't need a card swipe machine, because this won't be a retail operation, so the "virtual terminal" from Authorize.net will work just fine.

Long story short... going back to the 1999-2001 time period, I had two merchant accounts which were used for adult processing. One with good old Humboldt, and one with Amtrade International. And needless to say, both of these accounts were squashed in time due to chargebacks.

So now the dilemma is, I would like to pursue getting a merchant account for this new venture -- but I just know I'm going to have problems. I've attempted to get one of those all-in-one Merchant solutions from Cardservice International sometime back, and they denied the application because my Tax ID and Social must be on the "blacklist" from having a merchant account cancelled in the past.

Any ideas from any of the billing gurus out there, or anyone that might specialize in merchant account acquisition?
