Anyone have any systems/docks for the ipod or ipod nano that they like? Worth it?

I need one for my office. I'm hearing that the inMotion IM3 is good for small rooms but doesn't have any bass.

Also, the Bose Sounddock seems to be the one to get. ($300 for that one)

go to radio shack... spend $10 and get a cable or two to plug it right into your existing systems..

My GF just got a bose dock for her Ipod, sounds great and has a built in recorder with memory,

I don't like what I have already and want something small for the office.

I have bought 2 of these one for each place. I love em.

Your PC doesn't have a line in?

I'm getting the portable speakers so I can place it in my room.
Why connect the ipod to your pc if you can just download the songs and play it.

Yes, I've tried it from the store and its a good value for $200.
But if you're expecting superb sound quality, I'd recommend the Bose speakers.

You will NEVER get good sound from that thing for obvious reasons. The bass will be shitty, and the highs muffled. You're better off hooking up a nice system to your PC (Audigy 2+ required) or to a stereo.

Is there really sucky bass on it like alot of people have said?

I want something where I can move easily from office to home office to wherever easily.

i got that one for my gf for xmas...so i won't be able to report on how it sounds for another 3 1/2 wks :winkwink:

I still don't have any audio add-ons with my ipod but i am planning of buying one this coming new year.

Just get an adaptor and run it on your current sytem

WHy is audigy 2 required?

I used an SBlive first gen card for many years until it recently fried from over heating.

Audigy 2 and first gen sblive have only one major difference. Recording definition.

Recommendations?

I got the Bose one for my best friend and he loves it :)

you're right, but keep in mind that this is just a portable speaker for an ipod. output between it and a speaker system with subwoofer is far different.
