Damn bogus, second hand information
 

So, the other day I mentioned that I was going to a party that I discovered an old girlfriend was attending. I was looking forward to seeing her, as she had always been not only very cute, but a lot of fun.


I even showed up relatively early. I was visiting with some old friends when she walked in. I would have recognized her anywhere. She was just as hot today as she was when I met her in 1972. I was stoked, this was going to be great.

We started talking like we had not seen each other in a month instead of 20 years. I happened to glance down and notice this rock of a wedding ring. No worries, I heard she was just recently divorced, so maybe she was wearing it out of habit.

Alas, after talking to her, and listening to her talk to others I got the impression she was still happily married. I checked with some other, more reliable friends only to confirm that she was indeed married, and the info I got that she was divorced was incorrect.

Oh well. She is happy, and she looks great. That is what is important.

Maybe next time.

oh well there is some girl out there thats just right for you mate.

same thing sort of happened to me. she was my best friend in school and out of school, mine and her family where really good friends as well. then her family moved away and i was so pissed that i could see her any more. i rang each other everyday and emailed photos of partys and see we where doing. i then sort of lost contact with her until we got a letter in the mail acouple of years later inviting me and my family to her wedding. it was so hard to sit the and watch her get married but i was so glad that my best friend had found love with someone that cares so much about her. i still think about her all the time.

ummm, not exactly like I am looking for a relationship . . . just some fun. She would have been highly qualified to fill that position
