Dirty F 12-04-2005 04:20 AM

This is a domain of the fucker who installs nasty spywares, trojans and what not on your computer and the sponsors he's using. As you can see none of the sponsors cancel his account.

If they would spend 10% of the resources that they currently spend on email spam we would see a big difference.

Yeah no shit.

Sosa 12-04-2005 03:58 PM

Most programs could care less where the traffic comes from. Sure does suck.

That's exactly what that page is. It's the search company that is allowing there feed to be placed on spyware traffic. The sponsors listed have no idea and are simply buying traffic from a ppc search company.

Franck your anger is misdirected. Those sponsors aren't doing anything wrong and probably have no idea.

boofind.net is another place one of these fuckers calls too. this particular one installs a flash at startup to the desktop. there is no way to uninstall it, no directory for it. its got casino, pharmacy, dating, xxx, and some other category. i'd be willing to pay if you know who the fucker is. there is no way to right click and even messes with your restore features. one of the nastiest malware i have ever seen. if anyone else has experienced this particular one email me.

it redirects through boofind to the program. i'm gonna waste my time trying to get info from sponsors. i want inside info.

and the bitch of it is, i have no idea where it came from, i am very careful what i click and i am almost certain that it came from a router virus. i never click anything and am pretty well versed as far as staying clean. i'm guessing a router was owned by a less experienced person that jsut started with us a month ago or so. i haven't personally owned myself in over 4 years, so the odds are leaning towards my new video editor.

Installers and Adware are never going away. They are actually more legit now than ever before, go to an adtech show and all you will see is adware and install guys. Claria had one of the biggest booths at that show, even bigger than Google if I remember correctly.

they modified the registry and restore features for windows xp sp2.

they hide the software somewhere within the shockwave extensions.

i'd have to get to the machine to get entirely into detail. thank god it isn't my awesome pc here at home. i don't even use themachine until i blow it out and reformat the drive and reset the router from scratch.

this is the most ugly malware ap that i have ever seen. normally i can and have dug them out for other co-workers with ease. this one is bad.

Sorry I thought you were referring to Claria which was mentioned in that article I posted earlier. The installer you have appears to be mallicious and I agree it sucks (and is probably illegal).

DH

seeric 12-05-2005 09:03 PM

they also run a hidden app in the backgorund that is detectable only in the fashion that you can see the mouse cursor "thinking" shutting down any other non exential app and watching the performance grid in the windows task manager will show you spikes in even intervals as well as i've watched i/o packet send and recieve. i have no idea where it is calling home too. thats what i am gonna leave for the experts.

yeah its not claria, nor any of the other installers, many of which i am familiar with. this one is an evil bitch and if experienced people here are getting owned, then i can tell you i doubt if it was a voluntary install. i can guarantee you alot more people here have this than we know so far. as far as i can tell it wasn't a trojan either. i can't prove it, but none of my software that would normally find trojans has lit up like a christmas tree.

thanks anyhow man. :thumbsup

You dont show up on aim.

seeric 12-05-2005 09:18 PM

shit now aim is fucked. this is unrelated to this app. the machine thats owned was one i was using at the office. looks like my aim and icq is fucked here now. i tried icqing you a few times.

Dirty F 12-05-2005 09:20 PM

You have msn?

Penthouse Tony 12-05-2005 09:20 PM

Franck I told you over ICQ that we are handling this. Perhaps you weren't getting my messages as I was getting disconnected earlier. This is a vendor that has a bad partner account. We aren't paying on that subid but I can't ban the account as it will ban the FULL account for this vendor not just the bad partner.

Ya like someone explained its not your fault that youre on there.

Do you have a name though or something that can lead us to the removal of this product? I simply cant work normally anymore on my laptop.

Maureenoz 12-05-2005 09:25 PM

I don't normally butt in on anybody's beef, but it seems there are some of you who might appreciate knowing there is a dating sponsor that does not accept this sort of traffic. We'll never be the biggest, but that's never been our ambition -- we are selective on many levels, and if you'd care to try us, I think you'll see the effect that has on retention.
