I find the concept of an omnipotent entity contrary to reason. And I certainly don't understand why people try to explain the complexity of a human, by inventing something infinitiely more complex.

On the real, I think God is a nickname for karma. Be righteous in your everyday life, and somehow, you get luckier. The explanation to this : everything has patterns, including luck ;)

It doesn't matter to me if someone is religious or not as long as their moral compass leads them. Morals and religion do not go hand in hand. You can be religious without morals and you can be non-religious and have excellent morals.

Whether someone believes in God is irellevant if they understand that the 10 commandments are great rules to live by no matter who you are, where you are from or who or what you believe in.

The problem that most people have with Catholics is the stance that is taken on gay marriage and abortions. Neither of which they will have to worry about until they are 18.

I was raised a catholic...sure i smoke the ganja every now and then...and ive banged hundreds of women....but i don't steal, lie, cheat, I am respectful, I have morals, and my ethics are up to par with most saints...all because of the way i was brought up.

i am no longer a catholic because god does not exist to me....not because the catholic religion sucks.

My basic belief system was put into place by two very born again parents so I suppose in some ways I do but not in any formal way and I don't really consider myself religious at all. There are too many things that I find important that 'the church' thinks is evil.

It can paralyze you though. I was convinced that if I let a guy touch me before marriage I would burn in hell. I was sure I could almost feel it happen on the spot. Then I met someone I loved and I knew there was no difference between the love I had before and after the ring.

I don't mind moral framework but I do mind they way in which it is delivered.
