ie page high-jacked
 

some jerk-off website replaced my ie default 404 page (when there is no remote server present) with his lame ass link/search page... how do i change it back?

you can change it from

tools->internet options

unless he affected your registry which won't give you access to change it and you'll have to manually edit the registry.

go to
start>run>regedit> and search for the link he put

I had that too, do regedit and search lop.com delete all reg keys you find. I think you have visited astalavista.box.sk right?

Bingo...Happened to me the other day. My puter had other wierd stuff happening anyway so I did take Amps acvice and
Format :c everything is like new again..LOL..I'am a happy girl now again:)

that just happened to me yesterday, i went to add remove programs clicked on internet explorer and chose repair, also went to regedit hkey_current_user , software, microsoft, internet explorer, searchurl and changed the default value. don't know which one did the trick tho.

bottom of the page, two uninstall files, they work with no problem :)

mine says "no values" for the 2 things in there and my 404 page still comes up as "http://eps.new.search.new.net/blahblahblah" i tried searching my registry for that string but it came up with nothing. =( i dunno how to get rid of that shit. :mad:

i ran that uninstall shit and it added more Lop crap to my computer... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
