Looking for place to register domains ...

I'm looking for a cheaper solution then Dotster.

I'm trying to find another that offers dns and has a nice management/reminder service to keep my shit from expiring.

It must offer DNS, since I don't want my host to do it.

Our reg site will be up soon. :) Just working out the final touches on the site. Should be live within the next two weeks if our tech gets it all straight.

Fletch why didn't you just say directnic, and why the fuck do you have the left mouse click disabled?

I know you want to make a buck, but I wouldn't use your ref code when you hide the shit.

They are $20 a year for dns + name... checking the other suggestions.

try http://www.000domains.com

hyper 03-27-2002 11:48 PM

powerpipe $8.88
they are $7.77 if you register more than 500

They are only $8.88 a name, but how do I know for sure if they will still be arouind next year or won't hijack names?

Seems awfully cheap though compared to Directnic, Register.com & Dotster.

I dont like that you can't phone them.

Check out http://www.enom.com - I just got a solicitation from them last week and their pricing looked okay and I know they do DNS, etc.

namecheap.com and powerpipe.com are enom resellers
enom charges them around $6 a name they make $2 a name.
they must have a credit account to process the registrations
all modifications to your domain is made through enom's website

http://access.enom.com so even if a company goes under they can't take your domain

i have been using powerpipe.com for over a year myself.
any problem i just email sales and get a reply within a few hours

I'm extremely happy with Namecheap. I tried go-daddy for several and registerfly for a bunch of domains but nothing beats the flexibility that Namecheap gives you.

Fletch XXX 03-28-2002 12:43 AM

I dont understand why anyone would need support for domain registering.

directNIC.com>search>cart>process.

hyper 03-28-2002 12:52 AM

sometimes you do need support.
forgetting a password
somebody hijacking a domain
and sometimes shit just gets fucked up on the internet.
