Godaddy refusing to transfer domain names?
Anyone else have an issue with this?
No matter how many transfer requests / support emails I send them, the domain always fails at the register transfer when godaddy shoots it down. ANyone have any experiance with this / a solution? I can't think of any web service that I dislike more. |

Godaddy has long been known to fuck with sites that have anything to do with adult.

Is it unlocked and have you approved any pending transfers from the control panel?
|
Yeah my guess it is locked, make sure you click that stuff on the right side to unlock domain and then proceed, i very much doubt someone is sitting there going, oh thats adult, lets screw him over and deny it, hehehe
However I am not so fond of GoDaddy's services, they definately are a pain to use and spamtastic...you may need to read thru all the 5 pages of spam to get to the final submit proccess??? |
probably locked

You wrote to their support staff and they couldn't tell you why it's being rejected? In my experience, when GoDaddy rejects a transfer, they'll send an automated email carefully explaining the wrong reason they rejected it. However, when you ask a human, they can usually tell you the real reason. Sometimes it has to do with ICANN rules like no transfers within a month or two of a prior transfer, or near registration or expiration dates, and sometimes it has to do with their own unwritten rules.
