Why do people see you post and automatically assume your on ICQ?

I'm on ICQ about once a month, I read GFY almost every day

if you wanna do some business here you better have your icq on. Or do you also disconnect your phone when youre working?

My studio doesn't even have a phone. I can't imagine interrupting a paid model photoshoot to answer someone's phone solicitation. That's what the answering machine's for.

My ICQ is on most of the time. I'm on GFY far less than ICQ.

I guess people always seem to assume that everybody else should be on ICQ when they need it. It's just an egocentric thing...

I always have mine on. I dont talk to everyone that ICQ's me, but I read what they start out with.

That is why when I ICQ someone that I dont really know, I say Hi, and what I want. they they can choose to ignore me.

You have your ICQ in your sig? There must be a reason behind it. If it's only for shits and giggles then better remove it, it's sending out the wrong signals and pissing people off.

well if you post or reply, it means that you are on line, therefore people assume that you would check your icq at the same time. I have mine on all the time, it does not necesarrily mean that I am actually sitting at the machine. btw check your ICQ :1orglaugh

I leave all my IM's on all the time, if i am not around trillian will auto reply with an away msg.

As opposed to what? Other people's computers? I have been known to post (rarely) from other people's, but my pc is always on, and ICQ is always on, so there would be an away message up, but people can leave messages that will be returned upon my return.
