loose searh engine placement when changing ip for a domain ?
is there a risk to loose some se spots because of new ip numbers for a domain ?
anyone have experience of that ? |
I certainly hope "lose" wasn't your main keyword, otherwise you're already going to "loose" your top spots.

of course its lose not loose |
so no one have changed to a new ip and lost their se placement ?
|
yep, I got hammered doing it. Twice.
|
to be honest, I have never experienced it personally, but I just sold some domains to someone and checked on them and the ranking is the same
hope that maybe helps? |
Sometimes you do, sometimes you dont, sorry i couldnt be more final but sometimes you do, sometimes you dont.
(PS..make sure the IP your going to is clean.) |
very rare, only if the new ip is banned by them from prior spammers

Yeah so rare it happens alot. |
Post how you guys check if an ip is banned
|
It is a very small factor, but possible if the old domain wasn't used for long.
The purpose is to see if your site will stay around, they think changing i.p.'s over and over means you are not stable or might be around a long time. |

Just changing the IP, probably not.
Giving the site a major facelift at the same time, quite possible. |
