Bush: 'I am responsible'

http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/12/...raq/index.html

Today, President Bush has accepted responsbility for having gone to war based upon faulty intelligence.

Bush still defends the war by stating, "My decision to remove Saddam Hussein was the right decision". Bush called Saddam a threat and that the American people, along with the world is better off since he is no longer in power.

Bush also claims, in his December 7th speech, that the United States has succeeded in helping Iraq improve its economy and infrastructure. Bush calls this the "battle after the battle".

Okay, so what does that help you chimp?

Paul Waters 12-14-2005 05:33 PM

Most right wing fundies will admit when they are wrong....

..... after they have exhausted the alternatives.

mardigras 12-14-2005 05:39 PM

But he says that if he knew then what he knows now he would still do it.
It's getting easier to believe the reports that he wanted to invade Iraq well before "the war on terror"...

Bluewire Ross 12-14-2005 05:41 PM

whether he is right or wrong---HE IS WRONG.

Mike Okitch 12-14-2005 05:46 PM

About fucking time.

Why God has punished us by having this guy survive choking on a pretzel? :(

SilentKnight 12-14-2005 05:54 PM

Bush = Captain Obvious

Who was he hoping to surprise with this latest admission?

If anything...it only makes him look like a bigger asshat for waiting so long after-the-fact.

tristan_D 12-14-2005 06:42 PM

it doesn't matter anymore, all was said and done.

devilspost 12-14-2005 06:53 PM

It should equal IMPEACHMENT it sure would have on Clinton.

Hey You . . . I Know You! 12-14-2005 06:55 PM

Bush only admitted that he was "wrong" because he lied, and he would rather have people think he was "mistaken" as opposed to him being a dishonest, lying, son of a bitch using his position of power for immoral reasons.

Gnus 12-14-2005 06:57 PM

I say impeach Bush.

Gary

devilspost 12-14-2005 07:03 PM

I take full responsibility cough (so long as there is no consequences).

directfiesta 12-14-2005 07:04 PM

Bush says Iran a 'real threat'

here we go again ... I would say he is more like " irresponsible " than responsible...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051215/ts_nm/iran_bush_dc

Bush is a menace to the world peace :2 cents:

Thus spake...

devilspost 12-14-2005 07:19 PM

The Iranians are about to commit an "offense" far greater than Saddam Hussein's conversion to the euro of Iraq?s oil exports in the fall of 2000. Numerous articles have revealed Pentagon planning for operations against Iran as early as 2005. While the publicly stated reasons will be over Iran's nuclear ambitions, there are unspoken macroeconomic drivers explaining the Real Reasons regarding the 2nd stage of petrodollar warfare - Iran's upcoming euro-based oil Bourse.

I read the article and I believe Bush stated, "I am a 'real threat.'"

Bush says he was right in removing Sadam (because of the threat) well, there are at least a dozen countries far more of a threat to the U.S. considering their politics and PROVEN weapons of mass destruction, but somehow we don't want to address them? Seems like another flat out lie.

Marshal 12-14-2005 07:27 PM

while it would still be morally wrong, it would at least have been somewhat more tolerable if the american public would benefit from the oil resources that have been conquered... use the profits to reduce taxes or something... but as you said, this too goes to his own private benefit.

At least Hussein shared the wealth of the state with (some) of his people. Bush hasn't even lived up to that standard. :disgust
