I went to look at their rates.. how many euro's make a us dollar?

Or.. $1.00 = how many Euro's?

ServerGenius 04-01-2002 12:56 AM

1US is 0.92 Euro why bother about good Hotel with Highspeed
internet access.??? Consider how many hours will you be in your
hotel room when you're in Amsterdam.....? There's a lot better
things to spend your money on then some lousy Hotel room!

Wrong.

1 EUR costs you 0.87 USD or
1 USD buys you 1.14 EUR

So the "value" of the Euro is below the value of the US$ (as I am earning 100% of my income in USD and actually living in Euroland this is :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup)

If you need to work 100 hours a week in order to travel...then you have another reason to save on hotel bills :1orglaugh

but don't worry most amsterdam hotels have good cable connections.

Quiet,

I completely understand what you are saying...

Maybe you should check out the Amstel Hotel?

http://amsterdam.interconti.com/

Or try the Marriott Renaissance hotel:

Good luck.

You can check this site out and get a whole apartment house or loft for the same cost as a hotel. Plus some come with Broadband access and fully stocked refrigerators.

http://www.amsterdamescape.com/

Most times this works out a lil better and makes you feel more comfortable and not as rushed as you would normally feel when staying at a hotel. I know everytime I see a clock above a hotel desk I feel like I'm looking at a 'You Have -this much-Time-Left' shotclock!

Good Luck

Any of them should have high speed access..
Just run through the front door really really fast..

Sorry.. had to be said... :)

I believe most of the "better" hotels in Amsterdam have a kinda remote internet access system..... not sure what it is called..... If you have a cellphone and laptop with a NIC you can connect to the internet with a 1.5mbps remote connection within a range of 100yards of the remote internet.... station.

I went for the apartment thing. It'll be far more comfortable than a hotel - I've had to stay in hotels far too often and never have liked them.
Fortunately the world wont fall apart if I dont have access for 4 days. I figure if I get to the stage where I cant afford to take 4 days away from the Internet it's time to do something else.

I guess you guys don't get it.

This guy earns in one month what most hard working people won't earn in 2-3 years...and will be retiring in less than 2 years after only 7 years in this biz.

He'll have plenty of time to relax after that...he just wants to ensure that while he's away from home base that kind he continues to generate that kind of revenue.

Sheesh...
