About 5 or 6 years ago, I was watching the Discovery Channel. The program was about how these guys were trying to make man-made diamonds, by using these machines that would create huge amounts of pressure on coal in order to turn it into a diamond.

The machines worked, but there was a small problem, the diamonds were all coming out yellow for some reason, and were considered mistakes and "worthless"...

Looks like they found some idiots to buy them...

Yup, its the same reason why people listen to morons like 50ct. Its all about the right marketing. Quality doesnt matter.
