googles up to some nasty shit right now.
I wont go into to much detail but look around, google is doing some major algorythym tests right now.
If what i just saw comes into play, shits gonna get interesting for those of us who use that engine for our traffic. |

They have been doing a lot of new stuff lately.

Actually it shows one of the webs most promoted affiliate sites. But there isnt an affiliate link to be found. |

Bingo. Its shown me those serps for a few dif times today. Could be an interesting few days to see what happens. |
i thought an even more interesting change is in yahoo listings..
They have started selling peoples links out to the highest bidder.. do a search for "raven riley" on yahoo for example the link is to the actual site with no ref code , but the actual link takes you thru a 3rd party then to the site with a ref code ( not the default ref code ) Its like google adwords or contextual ads except for the fact it actually REPLACES the serp with a paid ad. So whoever had that serp before basically got it replaced.. and the previous serp was the actual website.. in conclusion ravenriley now pays a cut for the same listing as it had before for no cut.. |
im not seeing those results here though..
|
Quote:
Im not either, but they are coming and going. When i check the datacenters i see nothing. Thats kind of what has me worried..lol |
hmm my example isnt working right now on yahoo , it sback to normal ill try to find another example.
|
ok try this instead.. search for cumfiesta on yahoo and the first result is
Code:
Cum Fiesta Main Site http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=AikghBCXHn834AT6jCpUnNpXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTE2OHZ wcHQ0BGNvbG8DZQRsA1dTMQRwb3MDMQRzZWMDc3IEdnRpZANGN jY2Xzg1/SIG=19p4u6rvq/EXP=1134872818/**http%3a//rdre1.yahoo.com/click%3fu=http%3a//www.wildlinecorp.com/app/kk.php%253Fs%253D94903,sk%253D522$b%253D721%26y=02 A801AA1163A882%26i=482%26c=17490%26q=02%255ESSHPM% 255BL7%257Cjryvzlk%7e6%26e=utf-8%26r=0%26d=wow%7eF666-en-us%26n=LE6KG7I7CMHK7K9C%26s=29%26t=%26m=43A37773%2 6x=0160818B44AA331F notice wildlinecorp.com is the actual target.. Now this isnt just a paid spot like normal because there are 2 paid spots above it ( in blue ) this is an actual listing that has been replaced.. before it was either straight to cumfiesta with no ref code or to cumfiesta with the best seo's ref code.. now its sold to the highest bidder |

i noticed this when ravenriley had a thread about all the search engine traffic from yahoo dying out for the site, but the listing were still in the same spot..
So in the end ravenrileys is still getting the same amount of hits , but instead of coming from yahoo for free now its routed through wildline and ravenrileys pays a cut to the referrer who paid a cut to wildline to be listed in the www.ravenriley.com slot no bash on wildline they seem to just have the monopoly on this |
Its only happening on certain sites.
There are still a heap of CCBill affiliate link codes showing in the results. But yeah, noticed that a day or two back also. Regards, Lee |
if the spam sites lose their ranks, i won't be sad. seo spam is what causes google to raise the bar time and time again of what a page needs to get a good ranking.
|
I guess yahoo never claimed to do no evil.
|
no problems here. still rockin out with my cock out in google
|
i hope my position on google would go up... :thumbsup
|
Are you sure about the Ravin Riley?
This kinda looks like the sites owner paid to have someone else get it into #1. |

Yahoo's listings are sprinkled with all sorts of this payed stuff. |
Fuck Google and their one way revolving cash door. People have been dependent on it too long... They won't let you promote your site but they'll take your cash on adwords.... Adbrite and AVN Ads doesn't do that
I uninstalled google toolbar a long time ago and couldn't care less if I'm a fucking PR 1 or 10.... |
wildline says they dont allow affiliates, only paysite owners. whats the deal with affiliate links then?

also, where do you go to buy these spots? I didnt see anything in overture about this.

so if they have a virtual monopoly , then theres obviously room for competition. |

Wildline isn't the only one for Yahoo, also http://www.booyahnetworks.com/
But in any event, not mentioning that some placements are paid in the actual SERPs is a big risk for Yahoo - credibility will take a major hit if/when they decide to sell top spots in other markets |
