This apparently "was" the website for the local animal humane society in my area. I go looking for a pet shelter because I'm thinking of adopting another one for Xmas and this is what I find.

Because the domain was obviously bought because of it's PR and incoming links/SE traffic...all of which is people (and most likely kids) looking for a pet to adopt.

If you're going to do this at LEAST send the traffic to pets.com or ebay or something like that.....why put PORN there?

This is why people hate us....they do a search for pets or cartoons and get hit with porn.
There are millions of people actively searching for porn, why try to shove it in the face of people who aren't looking for it???

It does say something about the state things are in that I was atleast a little relieved it wasn't a bestiality site.

I tend to agree. Its rather underhanded and obviously targeting people who aren't expecting to hit on adult content.

The header keeps changing to random words, the first time i went i saw "pre teen porn" and "young girl movies" and then it clicks through to TCG, time for them to kick some ass!

I think that's why people LOVE us.

If that domain ment something more like pet adoption to people from outside your area, then I could understand saying that it should not contain porn.

It looks like you can pay $300 to rescue the domain. That's a fair price, considering it'll cost about $200 or more once you let the domain go and it goes into redemption anyway. Maybe he backordered the name and got it for about $60 tho also.

He should probably have redirected it straight to his expired domain sales site or parked it somewhere that would have targeted it better instead.

We bought an expired domain once and put a nude celeb page on it (Joyce Dewitt from 3's company) and it turned out that it was originally a community site for mentally challenged kids and thier families. The guy that built the site was a quadraplegic and built the site with a laser attached to a helmet like device on his head. Needless to say, we gave it back.

I hate it coz the sample clip keeps buffering... :(

at least there's a warning page. I've seen worse.

I would say maybe the owner did not know but why in the hell would you buy a domain with no porn moniquer like that. I am torn on this one, my morality and my business sense, in cases like this I usually go with morality, but maybe that is why I am not mega rich yet..... i can live with that.

It's not about buying up an expired domain, that makes perfect sense. It's about putting pornography on an expired domain that receives SE traffic from kids looking for a pet.

Now I hate most of you too....bunch of sick fucks.....you'll be the first ones crying and screaming your ass off too when the gov't passes a porn tax or a version of COPA that the courts won't shoot down.
And things like these are exactly the reason why people want us heavily regulated. I can't say that I blame them.
