Whats that extra plug inlet on my monitor and video card

Whats that secondary monitor pin inlet (usually white) that is on my video card and monitor.. is it for dual screen?

Thats a DVI input/output. If you've got 2 on the graphics card then yes you should be able to use dual screen.

You have a monitor with a DVI connection, you should get a DVI cable and enjoy better picture quality and sharpness.

Nice, so do i use the blue and the white one together or just the white one?

Jarmusch 12-18-2005 03:57 PM

Just the white, use the blue if you want to add a 2nd monitor.

Does it really make a huge difference?
I just looked and my graphics card and monitor have DVI inputs so if it will make a big difference I'll pick one up.

should I have the screen refresh rate set at 60 hertz or 120 hertz?

Jarmusch 12-19-2005 04:22 PM

Yep, with flat panels DVI is the way to go. :D

Check your monitor specs, it must have an optimum refresh rate. While you're at it, make sure you're running at native resolution.

mkx 12-19-2005 04:34 PM

resolution is 1600 x 1200 very sharp. ill check the manufactures website

mkx 12-19-2005 04:37 PM
