what time do you...

wake up? and how about going to sleep? My sch. is way off, I find myself up most of the day and the night, and no it's not due to any recreational drug use :upsidedow

I fall asleep for maybe 3-4 hours if that then I just lay there wishing I could get to sleep.

What sleep aids work you?
I've tried temazepam(sp) but it doenst work for me.

I figure a lot of you on here are up many hours of the day working, so maybe you've had the same issue...?

phogirl69 12-25-2005 12:19 PM

Umm... Last night I fell asleep at round 12 NOON during the AFTERNOON and woke up around 9 at night... It's been that way for 2 weeks already. It's 11 am and I'm still awake.

bangman 12-25-2005 12:20 PM

I usually go to bed at 1-2am and wake at 7am.

I go to bed around the midnight'ish, and wake up around 7.

I vary by season. In the summer, I like to wake up around 5:30, but in the winter, I do not like working in the dark. So I get up later to compensate.

I generally do not need anything to sleep beyond being tired. Every now and then I'll be wired from caffine, and will take a Xanex or something. But that is a rare occasion.

It's the opposite for me. I seem to get all my energy when it gets dark. I guess it could be because of the super hot AZ days during the summer; it makes it hard to go outside when it's 117 degrees.

I mostly stick to the OTC type stuff, but a while back when I was taking oxycontin, oxycodone and hydrocodone for pain, (legally & not at the same time mind you), at first they would make me want to rest but then after a week or so it totally changed to making me stay up for real long periods of time.

A lot of people say benadryl (sp) but that only made me drowsy.

Barefootsies 12-25-2005 03:04 PM

Yeah, in the hot ass humid MI summer when had no AC I would sleep during the day, and work at night. Only way I could remotely function. But other than that one month or so, in the summer it's light around 5:30 am so I will get up at that time and have 75% of day's work done by noon. In the winter, I used to try and get up at same time, but just really low productivity since it doesn't get remotely light 'til around 7. So even if up before then, I'll lay in bed and watch BBC or something.

As for the sleep aids, as I had mentioned, normally I do not need them. Last month or so I've been overanxious before bed, so I am not sure if it's too much caffine, or side effect from something else. Either way, I had some Xanex I took, and was out w/i an hour or so. Slept good, wake up not groggy.

Those other OTC's always make me groggy, or feeling like a zombie, so I do not like taking them. If all else fails, I will generally short nap a number of times through the day if I do not get a solid night's sleep. Then try it again the next night to get a good long one, and get back on schedule.

You aren't a real webmaster until you don't have an actual sleep patern you can describe as your 'usual'.

:1orglaugh very true statement!

I think I'm going to ask my Doc. for some of that lunesta (sp) I have seen on TV. I'll see what he says and let you all know how it works if/and when I get it.

MandyBlake 01-02-2006 06:29 PM

lately it seems we go to bed around 4am and get up around noon.

Violetta 01-02-2006 06:30 PM

I wake up at noon... go to bed about 3-4 in the night!

reynold 01-02-2006 07:23 PM

Around 2 to 3 in the afternoon.. :)

C_U_Next_Tuesday 01-02-2006 07:31 PM

I go to bed between 10 and ? and almost always wake up by 5 am if not earlier. Sometimes I have fits of insomnia that last a week where I will wake up after a few hours sleep and not be able to go back to sleep till the kids are out the door for school...I will wake up almost always the same time when I have these weeks of insomnia..it's maddening.

I either smoke pot , take over the counter sleep aids..or lay awake going crazy watching really bad movies in the middle of the night.

I want a few nights of 8 hours.. I think that would be the best thing money could buy..Im envious of those that can sleep hard.

sickkittens 01-02-2006 07:46 PM

It used to be 3am and 11am now it's 1am and 8/9amish.

Bluewire Ross 01-02-2006 07:49 PM

My bedtime is 12midnight...up by 6 or 7am.
