The BIGGEST differenc eis that TGP2 only accepts galleries with max 5 pics, pics on HTML pages for more advertising possiblities.

More ads and less porn should make you more money.

TGP2 had all the right ideas but failed in being able to send traffic to the galleries.
No one is going to bookmark or visit a TGP2 when there are TGP's.

It was a nice idea, but in reality it failed.
I have also heard from a number of people that conversions were no better, just cheaper bandwidth with less traffic from a TGP2.

It hasn't failed, it is only 9 months since it started, it might need time, like anything else.
People are experiencing new things, trading with CJ2s, TGPs to see what it will mean for TGP2. Lots of newbees came to cash in on TGP2 and were disappointed after 6 weeks of not seeing those big checks. The same newbees will fail at TGP as well.

I got a ton of ICQs of ppl telling me they already tried it for so long (<8 weeks) and start something else. I do not mind to see them go, it takes more than 8 weeks of holding your hand for cash.

Laughing all the way to the bank ... You count visitors. I'll count dollars. That's fine with me. Every week, TGP2 revenue continues to increase
for me.

I have heard a lot of things from a lot of people.

9 months is a long time. TGP2 is still here. Let's see. I started my first CJ site in 1997. That seems like forever ago. Way back at the dawn of time.
Using this as a point of reference. already TGP2 has been around for 15% of that time. I agree with Naughty. There are webmasters that fail at TGP, TGP2, CJ, CJ2, AVS, SEs,, paysites. Hell, the news today is that Penthouse is in danger of going out of business. They laid off 26% of their workforce in February and is not generating enough revenue to make their interest payments this year.

I don't have time to worry about other people's
failures when I am working on my success.

TGP and TGP2 are like MPEG and MPEG2.
hence - TGP2 is more compressed.. The fact it has less free pics is just a "side-effect" of the technology.
The problem with TGP3 is that, like MPEG3 is only for sound - you will not be able to see TGP3 sites, but rather only hear them. That?s why they are destined to fail (unless the moaning is really good) so the upcoming demise of it is inevitable.
TGP4 on the other hand (used by hackers only after Microsoft had cancelled its use) AKA - "TGPivx;)" will be the next big think. Unfortunately you will need to install a plugin created my Project-Ketchup to view TGP4 sites.

TGP2 was dead before it started, but at least those that still try it have formed nice friendships.

If you want to stop giving away free porn, and cut down on your expenses, try AVS. That way every person that views your content at least historically has whipped out their credit card to pay for on-line porn.

This industry is going nowhere if we can not encourage TGP2's... I don't own a TGP2 nor do I submit galleries, but I appreciate the fact that some people are trying to help the industry... not bullshit them like baddog.

Oh, you think TGP2 has something more to benefit the industry more than AVS does? I must have missed something, what exactly is it that you do that makes you feel this way?

When I got in this business, there were NO free sites, and to be honest, some of us looked upon AVS with disdain. Then, along came pic posts, link lists, and TGPs, which then led to CJ. They all made AVS begin to look better. But the industry was still young, and I doubt that anyone had any idea that TGP would become what it did. I was just supposed to be a way to let surfers know where your pay site was. So much for that idea.

To think that AVS is bullshit, compared to TGP2 is insane. AVS gives nothing away, and everyone has a history pf spending money on Internet porn. Eliminate TGP, TGP2 and all the other free places for porn, and AVS is the best way to go with low overhead to the webmaster.

You make some excellent points.

I don't care what you call it. I am not worried about a crusade against TGP1 or the crusade against free porn or whatever. The point is to find what works for you and do it. If you've (anyone) tried TGP1 or making TGP1 galleries and it didn't work for you, try TGP2. It involves slightly different skills and you may find better and quicker success there. I'd love to see less free content on the net but as long as there are college kids playing the biggest dick contest and running TGPs being content with $3/day income and 150k+ uniques/day (or whatever), there will be big ass TGP1s. And if they want to do that, so be it, what can one do about it?

If I HATED porn and wanted to put pornographers out of business, I would hire people to build huge TGPs with no banners and advertisements. 90% of TGP1s are really bad for our business. Note the 10% factor. ;)

Some people make money at TGP2. Some don't.
Some people make money at TGP1. Some don't.
Some people make money at AVS. Some don't.
Some people make money making galleries. Some don't.

I've tried making TGP1 galleries and could never make more than $3k/month from them. I just can't market galleries properly. It is away from my skill set and strengths. Maybe i quit to early. But plenty of people do make a good living making galleries. Good for them! It drives me nuts. Who cares? Do something else!

Could someone show me a good example of a TGP 2 site?

I just went through analysing my monthly income (for TGP2).

I can only say I do TGP2 1 hour per day and make more on it than many doing TGP1 all day. And talking about BW costs, are you holding your fucking breath? They are 1.73% of my whole TGP2 income and I am hosting on $2.65/G. Can you get that anywhere else, besides on AVS? Ya, I thought so...

And I am doing TGP2 only for the fun of it ahahahaha... No, okay I admit, I am doing it because it's nice additional income and because it works!
